The wear layer can also be much tougher and thicker in the premium grade, leading it to be more resistant to scratching, straining, denting, and tearing some companies, such as Mannington, provide an aluminum oxide wear layer to provide an outstanding resistance to scratching.

Resilient products are like all other hard-surface floorings It will not trap dust, pet dander, or other allergens, contributing to higher indoor air quality for your family.

Felt or Fiberglass?

Fiberglass is softer and more flexible than traditional “felt-backed” resilient flooring It will be softer underfoot and easier to install. Fiberglass can also be a much thicker product than felt-backed products. Fiberglass flooring can be installed without glue and makes the sheet more stable It allows it to lay flat, all while providing extra foot cushioning. Felt-backed products must be installed with glue.

Owens Supply Company stocks approximately 10 colors of fiberglass flooring for the price of felt-backed products. Our colors change frequently for your convenience. Don’t see what you are looking for?  We can order any color or style by the cut or roll.
